Hey, admin, I just have a question about how your site's profile set-up works. Judging by the password that it created, I am guessing that you are using some kind of hashing function or something of that nature. Am I right about that?
Â
Just curious, I don't do a whole lot of web programming (none lately), but I do know some C and C++, as well as .vbs, .bat, html, and a tiny bit of perl and Java.
Â
Thanks,
The Banshee

Hey Banshee, thanks for the post. Sorry, but I'm not at liberty to discuss the password security for my site (as you can imagine why). Why is that you wanna know? Are you looking to make your own website? Anything you need help with?

It's not important, I was just curious. I do a bit of c and c++ programming myself, and was just curious if you used a hash to generate the passwords, because the one I got was rather long and random, just like you typically see with a hash. That's all I wanted to know, and no I'm not making a site. It's ok if you don't want to share that info, I understand the security issues involved.
