Can you help me understand something?
I am on my pc daily… sometimes for 12-19 hours a day. I make banners, program a few friend’s InvisionFree websites, constantly work with Youtube, Myspace, Facebook (reluctantly thanks to the boyfriend), Paint.net , MS Publisher (not as much since getting paint.net)……
And while I am using these programs, I am always using Yahoo Messenger, and sometimes listening to music using Windows Media Player.
My question is why is it that some programs seem to conflict with each other, and some just plain lock up my pc. *grumbles and looks at her screen* Like right now… I’m typing this in firefox and had a YIM message window I already had open start flashing when a friend IMed me…. which made my typing lag a bit until I clicked the message and made it stop flashing.
YIM has little announcement windows that also pop up in the bottom right of my screen. Lately when it does that, things slow down or lock up… ESPECIALLY when checking facebook. I always have to have the messenger open because my contacts for the designing I do is on that list. Lately I havent updated anything website wise unless needed because the conflict between programs is just too easy.
Is this a software problem? A hardware problem? A user problem? Viruses? At this point any suggestion would be helpful.
Sincerely Stressed,
Cris Drake
